RED BALL – Ages 7*-10:  NO PREREQUISITE REQUIRED. Students will be evaluated on court and grouped according to ability level. USTA QuickStart format. This class teaches the fundamentals of tennis to young beginners. Low compression red balls are used to encourage successful contact with the ball. Proper technique is emphasized along with racquet control, cooperation and movement.  Lessons are incorporated into fun games to help children stay focused and interested while learning to play. //*Age 7 is the recommended age, however, if your child is 6 and you feel that they are mature enough to pay attention and follow instruction in a group setting for a one-hour class, you are welcome to register. TEEN BEGINNER – Ages 11-16:  NO PREREQUISITE REQUIRED. Students will be evaluated on court and grouped according to ability level.  A class for teens with no prior, or very limited tennis experience. Teens learn the fundamentals of the game alongside their peers – most importantly, proper stroke production will be emphasized. Players will also learn tennis rules, etiquette and how to maintain a rally. When ready, students will move up to Green Dot Ball, Junior Excellence or High School Varsity Training, which ever is appropriate based on age and the coach’s recommendation. ORANGE BALL–Ages 8-11:  PREREQUISITE – PROFICIENT IN RED BALL OR EQUIVALENT CLASS/EXPERIENCE.  Students will be evaluated on court and grouped according to ability level. This class introduces basic match play and continues to work on the improvement of stroke fundamentals. Beginning match strategy is introduced along with practice point play. Supervised drills and games help players develop match skills in preparation for competitive play. Low-compression orange balls are mainly used in accordance with the USTA QuickStart method. More advanced players will have increased point play and live-ball drills to simulate match competition. There are no refunds on class registrations. Please refer to our refund policy

GREEN DOT BALL– Ages 10-13:  PREREQUISITE – PROFICIENT IN ORANGE BALL OR EQUIVALENT CLASS/EXPERIENCE OR RECOMMENDATION FROM TEEN BEGINNER.  Students will be evaluated on court and grouped according to ability level.  The final step in the USTA QuickStart progression method, Green Dot Ball continues to build on the skills learned in Orange Ball. Slightly lower compression balls (that look just like regulation tennis balls) are used to encourage proper stroke technique and help players maintain a successful rally. Regulation tennis balls may also be introduced when students are ready. Supervised, live-ball drills help players develop skills in a fun & competitive environment. This class prepares students for the Junior Excellence class. There are no refunds on class registrations. Please refer to our refund policy

JUNIOR EXCELLENCE – Ages 11-14:  PREREQUISITE – PROFICIENT IN GREEN DOT OR RECOMMENDATION FROM TEEN BEGINNER. Students will be evaluated on court and grouped according to ability level.  A 1.5 hour class for for Middle School and early High School age players. Players that register for this class must be able to maintain a medium-paced rally with top-spin, move to the net, and execute a volley and serve. Top spin and net play will be refined. Service motions will be evaluated and corrected, as players will play out points during class. Players will be encouraged to participate in USTA Team Tennis during the winter months. There are no refunds on class registrations. Please refer to our refund policy

**TWICE-PER-WEEK OPTION AVAILABLE: Junior Excellence players are encouraged to attend class at least twice-per-week. There is a reduced cost per class when choosing the two-day option.

**Multiples days can be chosen and an additional 5% discount will automatically be applied.

HIGH SCHOOL TRAINING – Ages 14-18:  PREREQUISITE – PARTICIPATION ON JV OR VARSITY TEAM or RECOMMENDATION FROM COACH. Students will be evaluated on court and grouped according to ability level. For aspiring and current JV and Varsity High School players, this 1.5 hour class concentrates on the skills needed to win matches. Players should be able to sustain a medium-to-high-paced rally with top-spin, move to the net, and execute a volley and serve. The emphasis will be on point play with instruction on singles and doubles strategy. Students will continue to improve and enhance their technique through supervised match play. Players will be encouraged to participate in USTA Team Tennis during the winter months. There are no refunds on class registrations. Please refer to our refund policy
